Obituary Adrianne Nicole King , a loving daughter, sister, niece, and friend, lost her battle with depression on June 27, 2025, at the young age of 20 years old. Adrianne was born on October 25, 2004, in Allen, Texas, to Julius “ Wayne ” King and Shawn Camilla Ojie. She was a soft, loving, and driven young woman who brought immense light and love into the lives of everyone she knew. Adrianne grew up in McKinney, TX, where she attended McKinney North High School (MNHS) and was a member of the North Star Drill Team. Adrianne later transferred to North Garland High School (NGHS), where she was a member of the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program. While at NGHS, Adrianne excelled as a scholar, graduating a year early from high school in the top 10% of her class. She also served as the AVID Class of 2022 senior speaker and earned the prestigious AVID “ Most Ahead of the Game ” award and a scholarship awarded to just four graduating seniors. After high school, Adrianne continued to further her education at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), where she majored in Criminology and Criminal Justice. In addition to being a scholar, Adrianne had a natural talent and passion for makeup, hair, and art. She loved practicing makeup, styling her hair, and drawing portraits of those she loved. Adrianne ’ s compassion and resilience will be dearly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. Adrianne is survived by her loving family: father, Julius “ Wayne ” King; mother, Shawn Camilla Ojie; siblings, Dawn Warnsley, Chris Warnsley, Julius King, Joshua King, and Zaniyha Brown; grandmother, Verinese Ajao; aunt, Lavon Dunson; cousins, Jaylon Dunson and JaKobe Dunson; and a host of other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Adrianne leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all those who had the privilege to know her.
