Granny’s Little Angels Granny, you are special. Your love knows no bounds. A room takes special warmth whenever you’re around. You think I’m cute and talented and maybe even wise, But I know that’s why all grandparents see through loving eyes. Every day with you was precious, I’m so grateful for the time. Of all the grandparents in the world, I’m thankful that you were mine.

Alice Faye Turner was a force to be reckoned, when the seed of life sprang forth May 26, 1942 it brought forth a daughter to the proud parentage of Mamie and Frank Turner Sr. who preceded her in death. Alice was the 7th of 7 children, Ida Turner-Asberry (Willie), Tessie Fagan (Leonard), Essie Turner, Frank, L. Turner (Flora Nell) Ellis “Pete” Turner, and Nathaniel Turner (Gloria) all who preceded her in death. Alice Turner received her education from Booker T. Washington in Forney, TX. Alice attended college at The University of North Texas were she received her Certification as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Alice worked in the nursing field well over 20 years in various hospitals around Dallas such as Parkland Hospital, Presbyterian Dallas, Baylor Dallas, and Terrell State Hospital Alice enjoyed the love and care for others and often reflected on the most rewarding time during her nursing career was the private duty nursing jobs taking care of the elderly. Alice accepted Christ at an early age where she served at Little Flock Church in Forney, TX. She later moved to Dallas, TX and became a faithful servant of St. John Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Alton Jeter Sr., she continued her service of faith at I Am Holy Temple Church under the leadership of Pastor W. L. McDuff and finished her service at New Life Fellowship Temple under the leadership of Pastor Frank N. Turner, Sr. Alice Faye was a pillar to her FAMILY and community, always offering whatever little or much she had to anyone in need. Her love for family was unmatched she believed in her name “TURNER” and all that it values and embodies. Alice was a friend to all and a MOTHER to many in her own special way but gave birth to 7 beautiful girls. Alice is also preceded in death by her eldest daughter, Carolyn McDuff (Willie); grandson, Tyrone L. Turner; and great grandson, Semaj Turner. She leaves to cherish her memories: six daughters Debra A Turner, Debra J Spain (Rickey), Cynthia Bradford (Parry), Audrey Turner, Miecia Johnson (Dietrich), and Helen Turner; eighteen grandchildren, Frank N. Turner Sr. (Queena), Willie D. McDuff (Shavonna), Essie McDuff, Adrian Turner, Alicia McQueen (Deldrick), Alton Turner, Allen Turner (Tiffany), Martavious Turner, Wilneesha McDuff, Marvin Martin, Lorenza Turner, Wilnaesha Turner, Edward Roper Jr., Dietrich B. Johnson (Paola), Aisha Oliver, Eric Harris Jr, Robert Conwright, Jr., and Journee Johnson; twenty three great grandchildren, Dejah Turner, Frank N, Turner Jr., DeWaylon Turner, Tyrone C. Turner, Aniya McQueen, TyTiana Turner, Kymeion Turner, Veronica Turner, Deldrick McQueen Jr., LaRyia Mitchell, Arianna Turner, Jayla Turner, David Palacios, Cartah Turner, Taveon Turner, Zayden Turner, Jaylen Hawkins, Ashley Turner, Allen Turner Jr., Willie L. McDuff Jr., Erian Roper, Kayden Turner, and Princeton Turner; three great great grandchildren, Reign Turner, Ryleigh Turner, and Frank N. Turner III; three nieces, Chrisann Jones, Belinthia Cooper (Robert) Cheryl Moore (Victor); one nephew. Travis House; four great nieces, Thelma Price, Nacole Brown (Patrick), Cynthia Nixon, and Melanie Wilson; seven great nephews Kerwin Price, Reginald Price, Anthony Nixon, Corey Frazier, Corby Frazier, Billy Jr., and Keith Frazier; and a host of great great nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
