Andre Cook
A NDRE D EMOND C OOKS was born to the proud parents of Charlie and Gloria Cooks on July 8, 1979 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was an O.D. Wyatt Alumni. Andre Cooks accepted Christ at a young age under the late Pastor Carl Richardson at New Creation Baptist Church. He became the first drummer to play with the choir and met wonderful people that became his extended family. In 2011, Andre met Kiesha and fathered four beautiful kids, Keyshawn, Karter, Raegan and Jordan, who was the love of his life. He loved spending quality time with his kids and giving them the best life he could. Andre’s health started to disintegrate in late 2022. He fought all his life to manage and beat sickle cell but God had other plans. A beloved angel to all that knew him, on Sunday, April 23rd with family and friends around, he answered to the precious voice of Jesus saying, “come with me, I’ve heard you cry and felt your tears, your work is done.” In the midst of “Something about the name Jesus” playing, Andre obeyed and fell asleep in his arms. His family who cherished his memories are four beautiful kids, Keyshawn, Karter, Raegan, and Jordan; his siblings, Charlene (Demetrous), Gwen (Torrance) and Anthony. Cherishing their time with Andre are a host of nieces, nephews; a very bestfriend Maurice Malveau; a godmother Dorothy Mosley; and a host of cousins and friends. His family who waits for him in Heaven: his parents, Charlie and Gloria Cooks; and his sickle cell war buddies, Natasha, James, Jeff, and Chalonda.
