Life Reflections On November 27, 1951, Ann Sanders was born to James Dixson and Bonnie Mae Kirkland in Fort Worth, Texas. Ann grew up in a Stop Six suburb of Fort Worth with her sister and brothers. She attended Polytechnic High School and went on to pursue a career at General Dynamics/ Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth for 20 years, retiring in 2005. Through the years, Ann enjoyed working in her yard, painting, spending time with her family, and touching lives along the way. She donated to multiple organizations, including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Ann dedicated her life to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as a member of Our Mother Of Mercy Catholic Church. Her love for the Lord was immeasurable. She took every opportunity she could to share a scripture or to talk about God's Goodness & Mercy. Her favorite Scripture was Psalm:23. One of her favorite quotes was, "When God puts us on hard paths, He'll provide us with strong shoes". Ann was also fascinated with butterflies' beauty and transformation; she believed that they provide a beautiful picture of spiritual transformation. The same God who takes a caterpillar and changes it into a butterfly transforms sinners into Saints. On October 18, 2022, Ann departed this journey of life where she lost her battle with cancer. She was called to a better place. A place where there is no pain, sorrow, crying, or heartaches, just Peace. She is now in the loving arms of God the Father. She was preceded in death by her Loving Parents: James and Bonnie Mae Dixson, her husband Arthur "Pete" Sanders, brother Sylvester Martin and sister Cherry Lee Butler. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her longtime boyfriend Lee Chester ("Baby") Thomas, daughter Kimberly Dixson-Kirkland (Corey), grandson James Lee Blackmore, brothers Phillip Martin (Barbara) and Samuel Dixson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The moment that you died My heart split in two
If Roses Grow In Heaven If roses grow in Heaven Lord, please pick a bunch for me. Place them in my Mother's arms and tell her they're from me. Tell her that I love her and miss her, and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for awhile. Because remembering her is easy, I do it every day, but there's an ache within my heart that will never go away.
One side filled with memories The other side died with you I often lay awake at night When the world is fast asleep and take a walk down memory lane With tears upon my cheeks Remembering you is easy I do it everyday But missing you is a heartache That never goes away I hold you tightly within my heart And there you will remain Until the joyous day arrives, That we will meet again.
As you release this butterfly in honor of me, know that I'm with you and will always be. Hold a hand, say a prayer, close your eyes and see me there. Although you may feel a bit torn apart, please know that I'll be forever in your heart. Now fly away butterfly as high as you can go, I'm right there with you more than you know.
