All us lil chil ’ ren call her out. Screaming and shouting. Granny, Granny! And, there, you come. EVERY-TIME, you ’ ve come. Granny, Granny! She ’ s not soft spoken, You had to hear what she said. And, she meant what she said. But, if you listen, She ’ ll learn you something! An opened book, she was not. Her cover filled with invisible scars. Turning the page hadn ’ t always been easy, Yet, every chapter ended with love. Oh, Granny, Granny!

The Life Reflections Barbara Ann Robinson Alexander was born to the parents of Henry Robinson and Steanna Green on January 31, 1944 in Los Angeles, CA. Her mom preceded her in death shortly after her birth so she was reunited with her grandmother, Sophie Green in Ennis, Texas. Later in life she met her husband and soulmate, Jerry Alexander and they were united in marriage for over fifty five years. To this union three children were born; Michael Alexander, Kenneth Robinson and Valisha Robinson. Throughout her life she dedicated herself to being a loving wife, mother and granny not only to her own grandchildren but to others as well. She had a special bond with her sister - in - law, Patricia Roberson, whom also was her bingo partner. She loved to have game nights with family and friends. Barbara was a caring and giving person who was beautiful inside and out. She will truly be missed. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Robinson, mother, Steanna Green, husband, Jerry Alexander, and son, Michael Alexander. She leaves to mourn, two children; her son, Kenneth Robinson, and her daughter, Valisha Robinson, two granddaughters; Tiffany Small and Shadara Sloan, two great - grandsons; JerBraylon Roberson and Jeremiah Roberson, aunt, Mary Meeks, a special sister - n - law Patricia Roberson (Ray), Helen Shepherd, Paul Herford (Hattie) and Bobby Alexander (B.J.) and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
