Beatrice Lovett Program

A brilliant, radiant smile was extinguished on November 6, 2022 when Beatrice C. Lovett passed from our midst. Beatrice was born to loving parents Milton W. Lovett and Belva J. Adams-Lovett on August 6,1949 in Oakland, CA. Beatrice confessed Christ at an early age at Beth Eden Baptist Church in Oakland. She was educated at both Oakland and Hayward Public Schools. Inspired by her mother, Beatrice took her first steps in pursuit of higher education by matriculating through Chabot College and Cal State Hayward. She would proudly go on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1970. While attending UC Berkeley Beatrice met Patrick Kenneth Kelly who would propose and marry her while they were in Kenya. Returning to the US, the two would have a Christian marriage ceremony with family and friends. It was from this happy union that Beatrice was blessed with the birth of her only child, M. Patrick Kelly in 1971. After years serving as a community organizer in Oakland, Beatrice briefly resettled in Harlem, New York City. Filled with a need to again "see the world," she and her young son would travel to India. Wanderlust fulfilled, Beatrice returned stateside to Pittsburg in East Texas where her parents had resettled in 1983. Sensing that her destiny lay in Dallas she would start Kelly Lovett Enterprises in 1986 in the heart of Oak Cliff in Dallas, TX. Beatrice subsequently obtained her teaching certification and pursued her passion for education. She taught at Dallas Independent School District until 2011 and later became an adjunct faculty member at Dallas County Community College District. While doing so she obtained a Master of Education from Texas A&M University Commerce. In 2004, Beatrice would happily remarry Amadou Diallo. Beatrice formally retired in 2021 having given years of service to the field of education. She tirelessly dedicated herself to remaining active. She served as Oak Park Estates Neighborhood Association treasurer, precinct chair with the Dallas County Democratic Party, and an election judge. Beatrice joyfully shared her tenor tone as a devoted member of the South Dallas Concert Choir. Beatrice was preceded in death by both parents, Milton W. Lovett and Belva J. Adams-Lovett; and nephew, Jalani Lovett. Beatrice leaves to mourn her in passing, her devoted son, M. Patrick Kelly; loving siblings, Jacqueline Esmond and Milton Lovett; as well as a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and many family friends.

TMyMoe Wh A I Heaven You were always there for everyone. You never were one to be selfish. You always put Jesus first Others next and Yourself last You accomplished what you always wanted,

and that was to be put in the right hand of God and welcomed with open arms into another. Even though it hurts, I will continue to live my life to the fullest. I will honor all you taught me. I will always remember: "Everybody who smiles in your face is not your friend" "Your attitude has got to change. You must rise above to make something of yourself Those are my favorite quotes. You always knew what to say even when we didn't. I love you so much. I know it was hard being a parent, because I had to watch you push yourself To keep doing all you could. You never wanted any half done jobs, so you were always late trying to finish what you started. And Someday, when we all join you, you will get to finish your life long mission of us joining you in Heaven.

You Lovin Chil, Paick

ALee Fo Heaven When tomorrow starts without me And I'm not here to see If the sun should rise and find you

With eyes filled of tears for me I wish so much you wouldn't cry The way you did today While thinking of the many things We didn’t get to say I know you'll always love me As much as I love you And each time you think of me I know you'll miss me too When tomorrow starts without me Don't think we're far apart For every time you think of me I'll be right there in your heart

Acknowledgement 2 T IMOTHY 4:7-8

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award.

The family would like to thanks all those that have sent their prayers, condolences, kind expression and support.
