Billie Jo Ransom, son of the late Opal Dorman and Carl Ransom, was born March 31, 1938 in Okmulgee Oklahoma. Billie, known as “ Bill ” to his family and friends was raised by a spiritually strong family who introduced him to Jesus Christ and he accepted Christ at an early age. Billie and his extended family moved to Tulsa Oklahoma in 1948, where he continued his education and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. He was a Star Quarterback during his High School years; his football cleats were placed in the school Sports Trophy case. He joined the United States Air Force in 1958, stationed at Lackland Airforce base in San Antonio, Texas. He served his country faithfully and retired after 20 years of honorable service. He served time in the Philippines (Asia) and then Lowry Air Force base, where he retired from Military Service. He sported his Veteran Cap everywhere he went; because he was a PROUD Veteran. As a Military Veteran, he managed Village Inn and Denny ’ s restaurants and even opened up a mobile hot dog stand until retirement from work. He enjoyed archery, fishing, motor cycle riding and most of all RVing with his family and friends. He departed this life on Monday morning January 29, 2024. He was proceeded in death by Carmen Woodard (sister), Walter Woodard(dad), Opal Woodard (mother) Jimmy Ransom(brother) and Carl Ransom(father). Those left to cherish his memory, his wife Julia Ransom, brother James H. (Ollie) Woodard, daughters, Carmen Jackson (Arthur Jr.), Judith Robinson (E.K.), son Gerald Ransom Sr. and bonus sons, Arvis and Kevin Hadley (Donna) and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends.
