B OBBY J OE L OYD was born February 18, 1944, in East Texas, to the parents of Ralph Curtis Loyd and Iantha Wilson. For much of his life Bobby worked in construction and was once employed by Wilson and Wilson Construction which was co-owned by his uncles, Bob and O.C. Wilson. He later worked for the Lattimore and Austin Pavement company as a Truck Driver from where he retired. During his retirement, he worked as school crossing guard and enjoyed inter- acting with the children he met. He attended Community Bible Church. Bobby Joe loved riding his motorcycle and occasional pool and domino games. He enjoyed his puzzle books, listening to music and watching westerns with plenty of snacks on hand. Bobby Joe as he is called by many, loved to laugh, and gave the most wonderful hugs. He was a simple man who loved simply and was simply loved in return by many. He is preceded in death by his parents Ralph Loyd and Iantha Wilson-Willams, brothers; James Otis Tolliver, Jerry Sanders, Ralph Curtis Loyd, Jr., and Harold Loyd. Cherishing his memory are his daughter Cathy Bates (Ricky), son: Paul Davis of Garland, Tx. Brothers and sisters: Elma Faye Watson, Danny Sanders, Stanley Sanders, Dollie Thomas, and Donna Sanders. Bobby also leaves behind his love of 46 years, Anglean Wiley of Midlothian, Tx and members of the blended family, daughter Doris Jessie (Carl) of Midlothian, Tx., his grandchildren: Antonio Wilson (Larissa) of Desoto, Tx., Temperance Polk of Phoenix, AZ., Rikeisha, Ashli, and Angel Bates of Garland, Tx., Brandon Bates (Tara) of Van, Tx., Paul Parker, Kimberly Parker, Ralph Davis, Deonte Davis. great grandkids: Antonio Jr. & Hannah Wilson, Brooklynn & Cameron Bates, Trinity, Journie & Jayden Boyd, and Javier Macias and great- great granddaughter Kamaiyah Gillespie, and a host of relatives and friends.
