Life Reflections Charles Ray Waters was born January 21, 1945, in Victoria, Texas, to Charles Waters Jr. and Pearl Waters. He was a proud graduate of Victoria High School class of 1963. He accepted Christ at an early age and worked in many capacities at Mt Tabor Baptist Church and Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. He was most active on the Trustee Board, Deacons Board, and Twin Oaks neighborhood association where he was the vice president. In his early years, he served as an Electronic Warfare equipment repairman in the U.S. Army. Charles received a Bronze Star while serving in Vietnam with the 303rd Radio Reconnaissance Battalion. He was employed 41 years as an electrical engineer at Texas Instruments and Raytheon, where he worked as the Quality Assurance Manager earning the nickname “Father QA.” Charles was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He had a great sense of humor and a warm smile. He was thoughtful, considerate, and kind. Charles was a remarkable person who left a lasting impact on those around him. He will genuinely be missed. Charles is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sandra Kaye Waters of Dallas, TX; daughter Tanasha and (Edward) Waldon; sons Gregory (Regina) Waters, Eric Waters and Pierre (Loquanet) Roquemore; three sisters, Jeanette Bellard, Maggie (Quitman) Carr, Alice (Louis) McDow; and one brother Jimmy Waters. He was also blessed with six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Waters Jr. and Pearl Waters; one brother, W.J. Waters; and one sister, Leola Drinkhard.
