Delores Holden Program

A loving Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and Child of God, Delores J Holden was born in Kansas City, Missouri on September 23, 1935. She was the daughter of Pauline Richardson and Willie Foster Jones and the youngest sibling of three, Alline Jones, Lonell Jones, and Benjamin Richardson who all crossed over and are now at home with the Lord. She was the mother of Arthur Glenn III, her only son. She leaves behind a legacy of 2 grandchildren Arthur Glenn IV and Unique Glenn-Holden, as well as a host of nieces and nephews Charles (Diana) Williams, Donna (Ricky) Jackson, Yvette (George) West, Tommy, Verrell, and Terrell Jones, Lonell Jones Jr.. Little is known about the young life of Delores however what is known is that she attended primary and secondary school in Missouri and later moved to San Francisco Ca when she just 17 years old and married her 1st husband Willie Black. After the marriage ended, she met her 2nd husband Arthur E Glenn Jr. They were married for 8 years until their son Arthur Glenn III was conceived. During this period of time Delores was working and going to school. She received her associate degree in vocational nursing from San Mateo in 1962; and she furthered her Education at San Jose State where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Health Science in 1978. After gaining her L.V.N license she taught and trained future nurses. Throughout Delores' adulthood she raised her son, Arthur Glenn III and two grandchildren, Arthur Glenn IV and Unique Glenn-Holden. She moved from California to Texas quite a few times but settled in Dallas in the mid 2000's. After working a few minute jobs such as a Walmart clerk and a lunch lady at Unique's elementary schools she met and settled with her current partner Danny S Jackson in 2011. Although they didn't share any children, they both raised Unique and catered to other children in their community. Delores was strong, caring, intelligent and had a gravitating personality. What was most important to her was God and her family, that's what strengthened her and kept her smiling in hard times. She was known and loved by many and will be greatly missed. We are thankful Delores lived her life to the fullest and God blessed her to transition to the kingdom peacefully. .
