Dorothy Williams was born in Dallas, Texas on June 10, 1944 to the parentage of Narcis Newsome and Travis Johnson. Dorothy was raised in Dallas by her grandparents Pearlie Mae and Stacy Bayless. Dorothy was a social butterfly that never met a stranger. She genuinely loved everyone and didn ’ t mind you calling her “ Mama ” or as she was also affectionately known to many as “ Nana ”. She retired from Pollock Paper Company, where she dedicated 28 years of service in their accounting department. Dorothy was a member of Mesquite Friendship Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Terry M. Turner. Dorothy loved her church family and all of the support that they provided throughout her illness. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, daughter Ingrid, sisters Loretta, Eula Mae, Norvel, brothers Theodore “ Teddy ” and Leslie. Left to cherish her fond memories are: her daughter Lakeisha Williams - Rosebud of Dallas, TX, sisters Gwen (Michael) and Mildred. Over the years Dorothy gained a host of bonus children and grandchildren that she loved and raised as her own. In addition to her family, there are others who will miss Dorothy as well: Aniya “ Chocolate ” Caston, her best friend Samelia “ Sam ” Hall, Jamaal Johnson and a host of other family and friends.
