Ephram Sims was born in Marlin, Texas on October 12, 1942, to parents James, Sims and Ruby Bryant, along with older brother, James Sims. Once he became of age, he joined the U.S. Army, where he served in Vietnam. After the army he married Linda Jean Young and was blessed with four sons; Richard Houff (deceased), Ricky houff, James Houff and Ephram L. Sims. He is preceded in death by his parents; James and Ruby, his wife, Linda, his brother James, and his son Richard. He leaves to cherish his memory: three sons, Ricky James and Ephram; niece, Deflora Thorne; nephew, Garrard Sims, and niece Naomi Harrison; as well as a lot of grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2 Timoy 4:6 - 8
