Harry Wayne Shields was born On December 31, 1960 in Dimmit, Texas to parents Mike and Mamie Shield. Harry passed away peacefully at his daughter's home on Tuesday February 21, 2023 after a brief but courageous battle with Cancer. Harry was an exceptional man who believed in working hard to support his family. While married he was devoted to his wife and his daughters. He was fascinated with nature, and loved plants and animals. Throughout his life he had all kinds of pets and raised many litters of puppies. He was a die hard Cowboys fan and looked forward to coming home having a cold one and watching the football games. Harry graduated James Madison High School May 23, 1980, and retired January 12, 2021 from the City of Dallas. To know him was to love him and to love him was to know him. Rather you were a coworker, childhood friend, or family member, I'm sure you can agree Harry was a big deal and left his mark everywhere he went.

Harry was preceded in death by father, Mike Shield, Sr., brothers; Mike Shield, Jr., and Lonnie Washington.

He leaves to cherish his memories: mom, Mamie D. Shield, daughters, LaShunna Shields, LaRose Shields, god - son, Jimmy Grandberry, sisters, Betty Shield West (Richard), Norma Shields Gillaspie (Mark), brother Melvin Shields. grandsons, LaRogeric Jackson, Harrison Shields, Patrick Nichols, granddaughters; Rogerica Jackson, Raleigh Jackson, great - grandson, King Cobin and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sisters - in - law, brothers in - law and friends.
