James Earl Battle was born in Dallas, Texas on February 16, 1957 to Cleo Battle and Mozell Battle. The youngest of four boys. The Lord called James home on Saturday morning November 26, 2022. James grew up in North Park and attended Elementary through High School. Through his training he also attended trade school. James is preceded in death by his father, Cleo Battle , Sr. and

his two older brothers: Cleo Battle, Jr. and Carl Lee Battle.

Dear Brother,

Yes, you have had a long and rough journey. No one expected you to make it through your trials,

headaches and pain. Instead you made the truth to be known, for it is more obvious to see that you kept going on. That showed me and others that you have what it takes to make it to the finish line. Larry B. James, since I met you, you were a sweet kind and loving person who was quiet and did not speak much with love in your heart. That gave me a brand new start. Now that you are gone, I know that you are with God. I am going to miss you, my friend with loving memories. Linda C.
