In life ’ s fleeting moments, you touched many hearts, With kindness and grace, you played your parts. Though you ’ ve journeyed beyond this mortal shore, Your spirit live on, forevermore. Though tears may fall and hearts may ache, Your legacy, dear one, will never forsake. For in the tapestry of life, you ’ ve left your mark, A testament to love, through light and dark. So here ’ s to you, in this final adieu Rest peacefully now, in skies of blue. Though you ’ ve left our sight, you ’ re never far, Forever remembered, like a guiding star.

In the quiet hush of morning light, we bid farewell to James Hodge. James passed peacefully from this life the morning of February 15th. He was supported and surrounded by his loving family during his last days. James was born in Kemp, Texas but later resided in Dallas, Texas where he was united in love with Erma Jean Brown Hodge. He balanced a fulfilling career while wholeheartedly dedicating himself to raising his beautiful daughter Shaniqua Brown, whom he loved and cherished. James Hodge is survived by his devoted wife Erma Jean Brown, his loving child Shaniqua Brown, his compassionate Mother Doris Jean Lockhart, his supportive siblings Dianne Lockhart, Chanel Lockhart, Byron Lockhart, and Tonya Lockhart. He will be missed by his adoring Nieces and Nephews Johnthan Lockhart, Deshunda Lockhart, Darius Lockhart, Quities Lockhart, Shaqualla Vaughn, Deqwana Lockhart, and Camisha Lockhart. James will also be fondly remembered by his aunts and uncles Geneva, Vernon, Al, Howard, Richard, Artis, Helen and a host of extended family and friends. Preceded in death by James Hodge, now resting eternally alongside his Father Clyde Robinson Jr, his brother Robert Lockhart, his uncles and aunts Jesse Hodge, LueAnn Hodge, Lucille Hodge, and Thomas Hodge. Our hearts are heavy as we bid farewell to our beloved James Hodge. He touched the lives of many with his warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. As we mourn his passing, we find solace in the cherished memories we hold dear. James was not only our relative, but also a guiding light, a source of strength, and a beacon of love. He filled our lives with laughter, joy, and endless love, and his absence leaves a void that can never be filled. Though his physical presence may be gone, his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew him. We find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, surrounded by love and embraced by eternal rest. To our dear James “ Toosie ” Hodge, you will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Your legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire us each day. Until we meet again, may you rest in peace.
