A ALoved One When a loved one leaves they will be surely missed, Sadness is hard to resist. Rejoice! Rejoice! is God’s plan When a loved one leaves this old land. All His promises will be fulfilled They are recorded in His Will. Now God’s Will, will be done In the race all must run.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE

A time to be born …. James (Peter) Earl Turner, a native Fort Worth, Texas, was born June 10, 1943 to the late Lula Mae Hodge. A time to plant and grow …. Peter professed his Christian faith at an early age and spent the majority of his childhood and young adult life attending Paradise Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. He received his formal education in the Fort Worth Independent School District attending I. M. Terrell. All that knew him, knew Peter had a true love for fishing. After 32 years of dedication, Peter retired from Texas Steele. A time to love …. On May 7, 1979, Peter was united in holy matrimony to Ms. Carrie Mae Thompson. They shared forty - three years of love. A time to fly …. On Monday, on August 22 nd , Peter was fitted with his heavenly wings and departed this earthly life peacefully. He was proceeded in death by his parent, Lula Mae Hodge, two brothers and two sisters. A time to mourn …. Peter leaves a legacy of loved ones to cherish his precious memories: children, Brenda Mitchell, Bridgette Turner, Barbara Turner, James Turner and Lakeitha R. Williams of Fort Worth, Texas and William James Stevenson of Los Angeles, California; brother Hosea (Josephine) of Fort Worth, Texas. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great - grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many loving friends.

There’s no special person, lives here The time is flying by, have no fear. No one can take a lone one’s place But our Father God, Who gives all grace. It will seem like he’s coming back soon The same grace will fill your room. So, let’s keep hope, God will take our soul To meet a love one on the streets of gold .
