Janet Lee Clark was born on January 25, 1955 to Matthew Crawford and Irma Lee Crawford in Waxahachie, Tx. She is the second born of their 4 children. She attended public schools in the Wilmer Hutchins school district including Bishop Heights elementary, Milton K Curry Jr High School and Wilmer Hutchins High School and was a part of the graduating class of 1973. Janet accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She met and married Orlando L King in 1971 and with this union 3 children were born, Orlando Jermaine, Katrice Collette, and Orlando Leon King Jr. Janet ’ s first job was at Duke and Ayres in Dallas where she worked in the distribution center in the early 70’ s. She later worked for Mostek Corp, SGS Thomson Microelectronics and ST Microelectronics. She really enjoyed working at these companies and also enjoyed and loved the relationships she developed with the people she met while employed. She made lifelong friends and relations. Her smile and her positive energy was always a part of her daily presence. She joined Kyani in 2012 was a Kyani distributor until her death. She was diligent in her work as a distributor and this earned her a 2015 Audi for being highly successful in sales and bringing new members to the business. Early in life she was an active member of the Girl Scouts of America as a girl scout leader. She loved being involved with the organization as she traveled with them, made floats for parades and was just a positive influence in the lives of the girl scouts. On April 9, 2005 she married Mr Gregory A Clark and he brought with him her bonus son Martez. From then she raised Martez and loved him as her own. Greg and Jan went on to own Ole Skool BBQ until 2013. She then did a short working stint with O ’ Reilly Distribution Center until her husband Greg retired her. She joined the Tel - Star Baptist Church under Pastor Alvin Jackson in 2009. She was very active in her church. She taught Sunday School, was a member of usher board #2, sang in the choir, and was the President of the Women ’ s Ministry. She was very active in Vacation Bible School, worked in the kitchen and anywhere else she could be of service. Janet loved to cook and try new recipes. She loved serving people as she had a servants heart. She was always trying to meet a need if she could. Janet was the soft spot for our family. She was strong and centered. She brought balance, she was joyful, peaceful. On January 19, 2023 Jan completed her service in this life and went to be with the Lord. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Irma Lee Reeves, Uncle James M. Nealey, and Aunt Nora M. Nealey. She leaves behind her husband, Deacon Gregory A. Clark, children: Orlando J. King, Katrice C. Smith (AJ), Orlando L King Jr, and Martez D Clark. Grandchildren: Khrystopher J. King, Jhasmyne L. King, Chyna S. Steptoe, Dominick J. Johnson, Ayahriyah L. King, Elijah J. Minnon, Orlando J. King. Great grandchildren: Drew K. Norton, Seven W. Norton, Whitley, S. Norton, Khrystopher L. King, and Reign L. King. Father Rev. Matthew Crawford, siblings: Jacqueline M. Johnson (Rev. Reginald) Rev. Clyde W. Reeves (Millie), Darryl K. Reeves, Pastor Fatima C. Crawford ( Apostle Cornelius), Alfatir Crawford, Sieta S. Crawford, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
