Jean Elizabeth Mitchell was born February 27, 1951 in Fort Worth, Texas to Earma J. McClarty and Louis E. Cannon (deceased) and raised by Lacy McClarty (deceased). Growing up she attended schools in the FWISD at Our Mother of Mercy, Northside Highand Kirkpatrick High where she was a member of the band and drill team. She met and married her first love Arthur James Norman (deceased) and to this union three daughters were born Marie Antoinette (deceased) Arthurlon Roschelle and Angela Marie Norman. As an adult she worked asa document specialist with Citi Financial for over 20 years untilretirement. But even after retirement, she remained part - time as a driver for Union Pacific and BNSF and as a home heath aide. Jean accepted the Lord at the tender young age of twelve and was baptized at Saint James Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. She served faithfully in the church as a doorkeeper for over 40 years and was also the instructor for the Universal Church Ushers and a member of the Fort Worth Citywide Ushers. She worked on the Pastors Aide Committee and sang in the choir tirelessly until her health failed. She also served on various other ministries with Antioch Missionary, Cooper Street Baptist and Eastland Street Baptist Church Fort Worth,Texas. Jean has always been a strong and determined woman and truly loved God her children and family. She was a very powerful prayer warrior and always had an encouraging word. She ran her race with endurance and continued to persevere even when in pain. She will truly be missed by her family, friends and loved ones. Later in life, she married Glynn Mitchell until his demise in 2013.

JeanElizabeth Mitchell leaves to cherish her memories: her daughters Arthurlon R.Batchelor and Angela M. Norman; mother Earma J. McClarty her siblings Patricia Bennett (John), Larnita Sumberlin, Cathy McClarty, Brenda Mitchell, Gregory McClarty, Kenneth McClarty, Donald McClarty (Carrie), Lacy McClarty (Masako) and Kaylon Tolbert (James) her additionalsiblings Evelyn Harris, Ruby Osby, James McClarty and Michael McClarty preceded her in death. Robert Smith (special friend) Bernice Khaemba (best friend) aunts: lzora Jones and Delores Cannon. She has six grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren Channing Griffin (deceased) also a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
