Jerome Hampton, beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on January 18, 2024, at the age of 65 in Dallas. Born on April 19, 1958, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Jerome brought joy and laughter into the lives of those around him. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends that can never be filled. Jerome's magnetic personality was evident from a young age. He possessed a one - of - a - kind laugh that could light up any room he entered. His caring nature touched the lives of many, as he always went above and beyond to ensure the well - being of his loved ones. Jerome was stern yet tender hearted, demonstrating a deep love for his family that knew no bounds. Having served in the army, Jerome proudly dedicated himself to protecting his country. His military service highlighted his unwavering commitment and bravery. His contributions will forever be remembered and appreciated by all those who knew him. Outside of his military service, Jerome displayed remarkable skills with his hands. He had an innate talent for fixing things and would lend a helping hand to family, friends, and even neighbors whenever they were in need. His ability to turn broken objects into cherished possessions brought immeasurable happiness to those around him. Jerome was preceded in death by his parents; father Lawson Smith and mother Priscilla Bennett; as well as two siblings, Michael and Dwayne. He is survived by seven siblings: Claudette (Andre), Cynthia, Princilla, Debra, Ernest Jr., Kenneth, and Kesha (Remus) along with a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.. They will hold onto cherished memories of their time spent together with Jerome. Jerome Hampton will be deeply missed by all those fortunate enough to have known him. His infectious laughter, caring nature, and dedication to his loved ones will forever be etched in our hearts. Let us remember Jerome not with sadness but with gratitude for the joy he brought into our lives. In his memory, may we strive to emulate his kindness and unwavering love for family and friends.
