Rev. Derrick Miller, Officiating Concord Church | Dallas, TX.

God looked down from Heaven and saw a rose that he wanted. Jesse had the biggest heart of anyone we’ve ever known. Maybe it was his loss of hearing that allowed him to ignore the negative around him. He was a hard worker who felt that being on a job gave him value. How poignant that he died while at work. For all of his 72 years, he was a blessing to all he met. In Loving Remembrance,, His Family

Jesse Leroy Black, Jr., was born to the parentage of Jesse Leroy Black, Sr. and Frances Ann Thompson. Having lost his hearing at the age of four, he did not receive a formal education, but had a series of tutors for the hearing impaired. He professed his faith in Jesus Christ at an early age and truly loved the Lord. Even before he was finally fitted with a hearing aid at the age of 17, he never let his hearing loss be an impediment to living a full life. He worked at Frymire Air Conditioning and Heating for over 30 years. And later worked for Oak Farms Dairy for over a decade. Even though he was “retired,” he was working for Platinum Event Services, Inc., at the time of his passing. He loved family gatherings, travelling, his model trains and airplanes and the Dallas Cowboys. Lavishing family members with gifts, dinner dates, visits to the State Fair of Texas and watching Dallas Cowboy games were some of his happiest times. Not having children of his own, he took great pleasure in He leaves to celebrate his memory, Sisters: Frances Ann Sheffield of Dallas, Cassandra Black of Desoto and Deborah Weaver of Dallas; Brothers: George Eric Weaver and Melvin (Shereda) Weaver, both of Dallas; Nieces: Swansalane Ann (Terry) Henderson of Sanger, Luvenia Ann Kerney of Dallas, Benniecea Ann (Jeff) Coleman of Springtown, Shanda Kay Pinson Black, Lennie Laroy Brown, Tia (Joe) Norwood of Houston, Danyelle King of Dallas, Dominique Weaver of Dallas, Ciarra Sims of Dallas; Nephews: Melvin Weaver, Jr., Jamel Weaver, Amel Weaver, all of Dallas; Great Nieces and Nephews: Shaquinta, Tiara, Devon, Titiana, Jaia, Asia, Jefera, Jefree, Jeniece, Dillon, Madison, Joey, Demmie Ray, Jeremy, Isaiah, Justin, Kiesala, Danyelle, Tyler; Great - Great Niece and Nephews: Ashton, Arielle and Ian; and a hosts of relatives and friends. spending quality time with his nieces and nephews.
