Kathye Jean Holloman - Batts was born May 12, 1955 to Katherine Jamerson and Hubbert Benson, in Hughes Springs, Tx.. She spent her early years in Hughes Springs where she attended school and graduated. Soon after graduating she moved to Dallas and later relocated to Montclair, New Jersey to be closer to her mother. While residing in New Jersey she gave birth to her first love Lemuel Holloman. She eventually returned to Dallas and had another love, her baby boy, Kenley Holloman, Kathye adored her sons wholeheartedly and the grandchildren they blessed her with, who joyfully called her “ Nana. ” Kathye was the youngest daughter from her mother. She grew up attending church with her grandparents at Liberty United Methodist Church in Hughes Spring. She had a personal relationship with God, she often spoke about praying and her love for her Heavenly Father. When she returned to Dallas Kathye met and married Bobby Batts, they remained married until his transition in 2019. Kathye absolutely loved her family and closest friends, she will be greatly missed. Kathye leaves to cherish her memories: Son; Kenley Holloman, Brother, Sonny (Linda “ Baller ”), Sisters, Birdia (James whom she loved and often referred to as Brother - in - law), Betty, Vickie and Marilyn, close cousin, Don Craig. Grandchildren; Lemya, Lemuel Jr., Jordan, Kaydin,Kaleb, Kamron, Kyrie, Kensley and Kenley Jr.; Great grandchildren; Errin and Caleb, her bestfriends Loretta “ Cookie ” and Bobbie Jean and a host of nieces and nephews that she shared close bonds with. She is preceded in death by her mother; Katherine Jamerson, father; Hubbert Benson, son; Lemuel Holloman Sr., brother; Johnny Holloman, Thomas Chisom, sister; Barbara “ Payne ”, nephew, Dedrick Holloman and cousins with whom she shared a close bond; Sammy Harris; Jerry Harris, Timmy (TJ) Royal and Linda Harris.
