Life Reflections K ENNETH B URLESON S R . was born on August 26, 1931 in Teague, Texas (Freestone County) to the parentage of Jimmy and Eliza Burleson Sr. Kenneth began his school years at Avant in Teague, Texas. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Dallas, Texas. Kenneth received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Prairie View A&M University. He also served 2 years in the United States Army from 1955-1957. . Kenneth worked at the Veterans Hospital, Administration Office in Dallas for 20 years. He later retired from the United States Postal Service in 1989. He became a member of Fourth Ave. Church of God in Christ in 1959, which later changed to Last Covenant Church. He served as deacon and Sunday school teacher for many, many years. He leaves to cherish his memories to his wife, Florene Burleson of 63 years, daughter Kenya Kaye Burleson Thomas and son Kenneth Burleson Jr. He also leaves 6 grandchildren, Kenneth Burleson III, Kenisha Burleson Davis (Cameron), Ashtin Burleson, Kennis Hatter, Kennah Burleson and Kendria Burleson. Four great grandchildren; Isaac, Parker, Cameron Jr. and Karsyn. Sister in laws Darlene Stubblefield and Rose Hinton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Kenneth was proceeded in death by both parents Jimmy and Eliza Burleson Sr., infant daughter Jackqueline Burleson. Siblings Jimmy Burleson Jr., Godfrey (Paper) Burleson, Letha M. Henderson and Hiram Burleson Sr.
