Psalm 27:1 LaVera Burdine done was born August 21, 1935 to Trocie Sr. and Mae Frances Dunn in Dallas Texas. She departed this life on December 29, 2022 at home. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Betty Jean Runnells Dunn, Trocie Dunn Jr., and Helentyne Evans Dunn. LaVera Ellen Burdine was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. She continued her education in Nursing where she became an LVN. LaVera Ellen Burdine was a member of Full Gospel Holy Temple Church, Inc. where she remained a faithful members for 60 years until her health field. She served as an altar worker, praying for many souls. She was also a faithful servant serving on the motherboard. She leaves to cherish her sweet memories to her sons, Ray Burdine, Jr., Kenneth Burdine, Sr. and his wife Macy Burdine; one brother, OC (Mary Lee) Dunn; two sisters, Hannah (Donnie) Canyon Dunn and Sherry Peace Dunn; two granddaughters, Dr. Kinikia Hodge and A‘ishah Mitchell; six grandsons, Anthony Burdine, Kenneth Burdine II, Darius Burdine, Byron Burdine, Brandon Burdine, Ray Burdine III; seven great grandsons; eleven great granddaughters; one great great grandson; and a host of nieces nephews family and friends. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Ray Burdine Sr. and to this union two sons were born.
