Margie Jean Newton Mathis was born to O.C. Newton and Gloria Dysard on October 13, 1957, in Fort Worth, TX. She departed this life on August 6, 2022. Margie was educated at Dunbar High School. After which she attended Beauty School. Margie decided to become a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant). Margie Jean Mathis leaves to cherish her memory: her brothers; Reginald “Reggie” Newton and Rickie Crear, her sister, Ocieanna Newton Taylor (Larry), her four children, Wendell “Lamont” Newton, Michael Mathis, Jr. (Tiffany), Tamika Keys and Alisha Mathis, her two grandsons: Wendell Newton, Jr., and Jaquay Mathis, and a host of family and friends.
