I never thought I would take this journey with you that cold winter night January 2, 1982 at the Cliff Club. It’s funny how the smallest things take up the most space in your heart. I remember how we use to chase sunsets. We would buy a cheeseburger or link basket which we didn’t need and sit in the car and watch the sunset. Our favorite place was Mountain Creek Lake and any place off 20 headed east. Thanks for those memories. The 40 years we shared were amazing. I say that because we had some ups and downs but with our faith we made it through. That night when I was trying to breathe life back into you God said “Cheri he’s mine now, I got this.” So I had to let you go. The times I would catch you staring a me and I said WHAT and you would say “Cheri I really, really love you” and I’d give you a big smile and say, “I know.” The last 6 months have been a blast after 4 years of you being so sick. You never complained. You gave me your best and I thank you. I put your converse shoes on your feet like you asked. I want you to run around heaven and find the best sunsets so when I get there you can show them to me. Until God decides to reunite us, I’ll see ya when I see ya! Your Forever Love, Cheri
