Mary Jackson

P SALM 23 The Lord is my shepherd: I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me be side the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the path of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me: thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord, forever.

When tomorrow starts without me And I’m not here to see If the sun should rise and find your eyes All filled with tears for me I wish you wouldn’t cry The way you did today While thinking of the many things We didn’t get to say I know how much you love me As much as I love you Each time that you think of me I know you’ll miss me too When tomorrow starts without me Please try to understand That an angel came and called my name And took me by the hand The angel said my place was ready In Heaven far above And That I would have to leave behind All those I dearly love But when I walked through Heaven’s Gates I felt so much at home When GOD looked down and smiled at me But here it starts a new I promise no tomorrow For today will always last And since each day’s the exact same way There is no longing for the past So when tomorrow starts without me Do not think we’re apart For every time you think of me Remember I’m right here in your heart. From his golden throne He said This Is Eternity And all I promised you Today your life on earth is done

Perhaps you sent a lovely card or sat quietly in a chair. Perhaps you sent a floral piece, if so, we saw it there. Perhaps you prayed a sincere prayer or came to pay a call. Perhaps you sang a cheerful song, if so, we heard it all. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, as any friend could say. Perhaps you rendered a service unseen, near at hand or from afar. Whatever you did to console our hearts, by word or deed or touch. Whatever was the kindly part, we thank you, oh so very much. You have freshened our desert with flowers and rain. T HE F AMILY
