Melba Dean Bruno was born July 24, 1937 in Abbott, Texas to Dock and Lenora Fennell. She was the thirteenth child (14 total) of this union. She attended public school in Hillsboro, Texas and graduated from Peabody High School on May 17, 1957. Upon graduation, she moved to Dallas and met L.S. Jackson, and to this union, her daughter, Mary was born. She met Monroe Bruno in 1962 and in 1963, gave birth to her second daughter, Delorise. Melba was a tireless warrior for her family (a very large one) . She was the person everyone went to/relied on when in or facing a crisis. Always Miss - Fix It. She continued to reside in Dallas after retirement and the deaths of her beloved daughter, Mary, and husband Monroe, until the Lord called her home to be reunited with them on September 7, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dock and Lenora Fennell, husband; Monroe Bruno, and daughter, Mary Jean Jackson, brothers; Earl Fennell, Embra Fennell, Dock Fennell, Clifford Fennell, M.D. Fennell and Cooper Fennell, sisters; Ruby Wilson, Letha Fennell, Juanita Kennard; Louise Fullbright and Geneva Jordan. Melba leaves to cherish her memories: devoted daughter Delorise Bruno of Dallas; grandsons; Devon Rosaya and Anthony Rosaya; granddaughter - in - law Andrea Rosaya; son - in - law Roger Rosaya; great - granchildren Amaury Rosaya; Ariane Rosaya and Lenyah Shelton; special friends, Armardo and Angie Leos , Shirley Ricks; Mrs. Leah and Rayfield Evans and Ms. Dorothy Chumley, James and Beverly Smith. Melba received her cosmetology license on April 18, 1958 and was a hairdresser for thirty plus years until she retired in 2012.
