The Family Expressions of Appreciation
We are not always prepared to face hours such as these, but the thoughtful expressions of friends make the burden seem a little lighter. Thank you for your kindness, phone calls, and especially your prayers. Please continue to pray for us. May the blessings of the Lord be upon each of you is our prayer!

Mother Shaw was a loving and faithful member of this church until her health declined. She had such a quiet and humble spirit. Even though she was not able to attend church as she desired, Mother was yet a faithful financial supporter. She would often say, “I was taught to give, to support the church and my leaders.” She was a dedicated member and a faithful supporter of the Mother’s Board. Mother Shaw enjoyed Sunday School and was a faithful member of the Women’s Sunday School Class #2, until she could no longer attend. Mother loved God and always held onto her faith. She and her husband attended many National COGIC Convocations in Mem phis, Tennessee and also attended the National Women’s Conventions, trav eling to various locations throughout the years. God gave Mother a special gift, the gift of “Helps” and she did it well, helping anyone she could. Mother Wilma Jean Shaw departed this life to be with the Lord on Friday, October 21, 2022.
