CelebraƟng the Life, Love and Legacy of Otha Ray Jacques “Big O” Otha Ray Jacques (A.K.A. “Bubba), was born August 31, 1958 in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Raymond “Rags” and Frances Qumia Jacques, the second of seven children. He spent most of his life in Dallas and his early years were reared in Los Angeles, California. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at Mt. Sinai BapƟst Church in Arlington, Texas where he was ordained into the office of deacon. He later placed his membership with Sanctuary of Liberty Church unƟl his homegoing. Otha was a hard worker; his first job was with the Dallas Times Herald as a youth. He was employed at Texas Instrument for 7 years and then became employed with NaƟonal Semiconductor for 20 years. Otha was an excellent cook and entrepreneur; he opened a seafood restaurant named, “Jacques Caƞish”. During his later years he was gainfully employed with Grubb & Ellis at Cartus. He also worked part - Ɵme as a security officer for Patriot LogisƟcs. He received his formal educaƟon from Dallas Independent School District. He graduated from W.H. Adamson High School in Oak Cliff, class of 1976. “Big O” was an avid sports enthusiast; he loved basketball, football, baseball, and fishing. He also had a love for motorcycles and rebuilding hot rod cars, which he kept them clean. Otha was united in holy matrimony in 1980 to Paula Taylor, unto this union one daughter was born, Danika NaShon Jacques. He later married, AnneƩe Sanders in 1997, one child was born, Mari Louise Jacques. Otha was preceded in death by both parents, a nephew Patrick Jacques, Linda Maddox (special sister). He leaves to cherish, two daughters Danika NaShon Jacques - Fredieu (Daniel) of Spring, Texas, Mari Louise Jacques - Highsmith (Michael) of Arlington, Texas; four grand - daughters Ma’Kiya, Kamora, Nevaeh, and Danielle; five sisters, Audrey Green (Charles), Patricia Jacques, Pamela Jacques, Cynthia Jacques, and LaNita Jacques all of Dallas, Texas; one brother Anthony Jacques (Adjoa) of Las Vegas, Nevada; two special sisters, Shawana Johnson(Kenneth) of Tyler, Texas ,WanneƩe McDonald of Dallas, Texas , and one special son Tyrone Hobbs (Onion) of Dallas; two aunts, Bobbie Nell Jacques and Ethel Jacques - Locridge of Dallas, a host of nephews, nieces, relaƟves and friends.
