Pastor Ray Perkins
Pastor Perkins gave his life to Christ and joined Full Gospel Holiness Church, at the age of 15. He then accepted the call to preach while serving under
Apostle G.L. Jackson. Through his tenure at Full Gospel, he served as the church’s transportation, Youth Minister, and Assistant Pastor. In 2010, after the passing of Apostle Jackson, he was appointed Pastor of Full Gospel Holiness Church.
Over the past 14 years, Pastor Perkins has always been known for having a servant's heart. Pastor Perkins was not merely a shepherd to the flock but a beacon of hope, compassion, and wisdom. His sermons inspired many, and his prayers uplifted his members in times of joy and sorrow alike. Through his leadership, the Full Gospel church grew not only in numbers but also in spirit, fostering a deeper connection with each other and with our Lord. His leadership was a shining example of God's grace and the power of faith in action. His compassion for others, and commitment to serving God and His people has touched the hearts of many. As we reflect on the countless ways Pastor Perkins has enriched our lives, we are reminded of the words of Scripture: "And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding" (Jeremiah 3:15). Pastor Perkins was truly a shepherd after God's own heart. We celebrate the life that he lived and the profound impact he had on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever remain etched in our hearts, and his teachings will continue to guide us on our spiritual journey.

Good Night to the most amazing husband. You were the last person I talked with before bed and the first person when I woke up. I still don’t know why God trusted me with one of his precious gifts, but I’ll be forever grateful for the rest of my life. I’m missing you so terribly and I am heartbroken. In our 47 years of marriage, it had not been a day without you in it until now. I’m praying to find solace in our love that will live forever in my heart.
It makes me happy to know I married my best friend and the love of my life. Hand in hand we’ve met life’s changes and challenges. Side by side we’ve shared our biggest dreams and disappointments. Together we made a beautiful family and a loving and lasting legacy. You will always be our stabilizing rock and I promise to remind our family of the love and values you instilled quite often. You’ve accomplished so many wonderful and incredible things, you loved, guided, blessed, empowered and encouraged so many lives and hearts. Your life was selflessly spent giving to others and your spirit will live on in the memories we shared and the love of family and friends. You’ve done well.
Thank you for the wonderful life. Good Night Honey, you rest well.
Love,
Today we honor the memory of our beloved dad. We are filled with both sadness and gratitude. Sadness, because we must say goodbye to a man who meant everything to us, and gratitude, because we were blessed to have him as our father.
Our dad was more than just a parent; he was our rock, our guiding light, and our greatest supporter. From the moment we entered this world, he was there, with open arms and an unwavering love that knew no bounds. Dad was a man of integrity, kindness, and strength. He taught us the importance of honesty, compassion, and hard work by living those values every day of his life. He was our mentor, our confidant, and our hero. He had a way of making us feel safe and loved, no matter what challenges we faced. His laughter was infectious, his wisdom endless, and his love unconditional. He was the shoulder we cried on, the hand that lifted us up, and the voice that whispered words of encouragement in our darkest hours. As we reflect on the memories we shared with our dad, we are reminded of the countless moments of joy, laughter, and love that he brought into our lives. Whether it was family dinners around the table, or quiet moments of reflection by his side, every memory is a treasure that we will hold dear forever. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in knowing that Dad's spirit will live on in each of us. His legacy of love, kindness, and strength will continue to inspire us and guide us through the journey of life. Dad, as we say goodbye today, we want you to know that you will always hold a special place in our hearts. Your love will be our compass, guiding us through the storms of life. Your laughter will echo in our memories, bringing us comfort in times of sorrow. And your spirit will live on in the lives of those you touched with your kindness and grace.
Love,
The Perkins family would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation for the love shown during this difficult time. We thank you for your countless acts of kindness, visits, calls and beautiful floral arrangements. We would like to extend a special thank you to the Full Gospel Church family for your love, support, and prayers. May God continue to bless you, as you bless others.
