Retta Jean Rylander was born to the union of Willie Clyde Walker and Claudene Livingston on April 29, 1941 in Dallas, Texas. Her mother, father, beloved son, sisters, brothers and a special great niece (Amethyst Gamble) preceded her in death. Retta attended Dallas Public Schools graduating from Lincoln High School in 1959. After graduation she moved to New York and returned to Dallas, Texas after the birth of her son Dwayne Keith Walker. Retta retired from Unilever in 2000 after many dedicated years of service. She loved her family and was a selfless giver to all, and always the life of the party.
