Robbie Carol Austin - Jackson (60) was born on December 31, 1962 to the parents of Pink Wesley and Odessa Austin. Raised in Memphis Texas, she graduated from Memphis ISD. She gave her life to Christ in 1996. Being fond of music and having an exceptional voice she used her talent to glorify the Lord. For several years she acted as the District Choir President. She had a strong passion for the youth and for spreading the Gospel of Christ. Robbie loved that old time religion; her favorite Gospel Artist was Mahalia Jackson. Robbie's larger than life personality made an indelible impression on everyone she met. Her assertive nature earned her the nickname "Queen Unique." She was a bossy force of nature who didn't shy away from speaking her mind with passion and conviction. But despite her strong - willed disposition she carried herself with grace and class. She was proceeded in death by her parents; her sisters, Margie Austin - Montgomery, Zetta Austin - Riles, Jewel Austin Houston, and Vernell Scott; one brother, Kenneth Austin; and a nephew Marcus Johnson. She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband of 23 years, Pastor Wille E. Jackson; two daughters, Kimberly LaCarol Austin (Artis Starling) and Latoya LaSheryl Austin; two sons, DeShawn Antwain Hervey and Austin Emmanuel Isiah Jackson; three stepsons, Brian, Ryan and Byron Jackson; three grandchildren, Kierra Raquel Fields, Kameron Ray Fields and Kyler Maurice Anthony Hervey; a great granddaughter Kelsey Sky Coleman; siblings, Cleola Johnson, Etta Austin, Travis and Cindy Austin and Willie Earl McDonald; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in laws and cherished friends.
