Perhaps you sent a lovely card or sat quietly in a chair. Perhaps you sent floral piece, if so we saw it. Perhaps you prayed a sincere prayer or came to pay a call. Perhaps you sang a cheerful song, if so we heard it all. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, as any friend could say. Perhaps you prepared a tasty dish or maybe furnish the car. Perhaps you rendered a service unseen, near at hand or from afar. Whatever you did to console our hearts by words Or deed or touch. Whatever was the kindly part, we thank you, oh so very much. We just want to say thank you.

LIFE ’ S REFLECTIONS

April 16, 1961 ~ December 13, 2022 -

Ruby Faye was born in Brownfield, TX to the parentage of Willie and Lula Mae Washington. Ruby attended school in Union, Seagraves, and Brown field ISD. She was a graduate of Brownfield ISD were she participated in several extracurricular activities including Cheerleader, Volleyball, and Track. Ruby held the school record for several years in track for both the long and triple jump. Ruby would go on to receive her Bachelor ’ s degree from Colorado Technical University in Business Administration in 2020. In 1980, Ruby married the love of her life Andy Madkins and two daughters were birthed from this union(Shaneka and Ashley). Ruby was blessed with an additional bonus son(Lil Andy) and three daughters(Mo, Mi, and Mo necia). Ruby loved her family and was often opening her home up to others. She provided several family members a safe place to live until they were able to get back on their feet. Ruby ’ s employment consisted of several years at Central United in Dallas and TYC in Mart, TX just to name a few. She also worked in the family res taurant learning to serve rather than be served. This teaching would be transparent in her daily life while assisting other love ones. Ruby confessed her love for Christ and knew that she would have to trust in Him. One of her favorite scriptures was Proverbs 3:5 - 6. She also enjoyed listening to one of her favorite songs – Take Me to the King. Ruby was a member of Feed My Sheep the Word Ministry. Ruby will be deeply missed, but her heartfelt laughter would be remembered and cherished. She would also be remembered for her big heart, however; she would put up with a lot but don ’ t forget those quick hands(smile). She is preceded in death by her parents – Willie and Lula Mae Washington, bonus son Andy, and brother David Lee and brother - in - love Curtis, and mother/father - in - love Willie Bell and Melvin Minnitt, and sister - in - love Maudie(Joe), and Kattie. Her memories will be cherished forever by her husband – Andy, daughters Shaneka(Jon Michael) and Ashley(Joshua), bonus daughters – Monecia, Moiesha, and Miesha. She will be missed by her grandchildren - Jon, Avaya, Varayshia(Koby), Ashton, Christian, Vincent, Vinte ’ vyon, Christopher, Amuriana, Ayana, and Ariana. Great grandchildren – Alayana and Nolan. Siblings – Linda(Mike), Carolyn(Richard), Doris(Ronald), Willie Jr, and Bobby. Siblings - in - love - Antion Jr, JC(Virginia), Lonzo(Detra), Randy (Pamela), Eugene, Stella, Mossaline(Gloria), DeWayne, and Mary Ann (Stephen). Also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends will keep her memories alive.

Trust in the L ORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
