Life Reflections (Deana), our mother was born in Eagle Lake, Texas to Rebar Jo Taylor and Jerry Dean Pope. She was raised in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Mansfield Business College valedictorian all while pregnant with Christian (Deana). She worked in a nursing home at a very young age as well as managed apartments. Not only was Deana making successful business moves she had a natural love for helping people including the homeless. (Deana) was able to stop gang violence between Bloods and the Crips by bringing them in and feeding them in West Dallas. She was also a teacher for Girls Incorporated. She had a heart of gold. She owned her own business, Texas Eagle Real Estate Developers LLC. Mama’s hobbies included; personal research, educating herself on different herbs and natural remedies, studies on the Most High God, the Creator. She loved fishing, going to the casino and she loved music. Anytime anyone came to her for advice she was always there with a solution. She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her children; Tamishia Bailey, Danielle Jennings, Paul Jennings, Christian Jennings and Willie Jennings, brother, Rodrick Morrison, sister, Carla Marrison, brother, Ebony Pope and five wonderful grandchildren whom she adored; Jaylin Shaw, Ashanti Shaw, Avanti Shaw, Daniel Shepherds and joining in heaven, Destiny Pope.

Thank you for always being there through the bad times and the good times. Thank you for being there for your grandchildren. You taught us a lot about how to be good people and to stay connected with family. We wanted to let you know that legends never die. You will always be our guardian angel and we love you. This is not good bye but we will see you later.
