Remembering The Life, Love and Legacy of

May 24, 1982 — August 13, 2022

Stefanie Joyce Alexander was born May 24, 1982 to the parentage of Bennie and Burcetta Alexander. She was an adventurous, fun loving child. She started drill at the age of four, pursued many sports, played the clarinet and was a founder of the Majorette Program in the Skyline Raider’s Award Winning Band. Stefanie was an Alumni of the Skyline Raider Graduating Class of 2000. She continued her education at Eastfield Community College, where she received an Associate Degree. Stefanie was a devoted loving mother to her two heartbeats, Jermaiya (Maiya Boo), Jermaine (My Chee), and fur baby (Brownie). She did whatever necessary to make sure they were happy, healthy and safe. She loved her nieces and nephews as her own. She was known as the “Fun Auntie”. There wasn't anything Stefanie wouldn't do for her family or friends. Her love, loyalty and generosity was bigger than life. Stefanie attended Victory Temple Church of God In Christ Highway of Holiness Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Lafayette Whitley. She loved her church family dearly and was grateful for the love and support they showed her. Stefanie entered the workforce at the young age of fourteen, and maintained many jobs and titles. Her final position was a Data Entry Analyst at United Health Care. She was as dedicated to working as she was traveling, enjoying life and making those around her smile. Her smile and presence will definitely be missed. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Benjamin and Tenora Alexander, Steptoe and Geneva Bush, and father, Bennie Alexander, Fur Baby (Blue). She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Jermaiya Harvest, son, Jermaine Harvest, Jr., father, Jermaine Harvest, Sr., mother, Burcetta Alexander, sisters; Roshanie Warren (Emanuel), Shanique Alexander, nieces and nephews; Jacori Alexander, Jalyn Alexander, D’Andre Warren, and Trey Casey, great nephew, Ashton Neal, honorary sisters; Erica Terrell, Ta’Sha Davis, Shenique Holloman, Tyesha Stafford, Candace Wooten, Twana Moore and Kimberly Harris, goddaughter, Da’Naiyaa Terrell, Caregiving Angels; Valerie Rolfe and Ta’Sha Davis, and a host of uncles, aunts cousins and friends.

As long as you're in my heart, you will always be with me. Love, Mom

I am going to love and miss you so much. I am so grateful that you were my mom. You sacrificed so much for me and Chee just to give us whatever we wanted. I am going to miss you at my graduation, wedding, when I have kids and any other life event, but your touch will definitely be there. I know you are having a ball up there with Jesus. You are finally resting and not worrying about oth ers. I am at peace knowing that you are at peace. Thank you for everything. I love you mom and can’t wait to see you in eternity. Love your, Maiyaboo.

My Sissy I love you so much. The pain I feel right now is indescribable. If you seen one of us, the other wasn't far behind and now you're gone. You weren’t supposed to leave me but God had oth er plans. I'm going to miss you so much! Love Your Sissy

My dear sister, there are no words to describe the hurt and emptiness I feel knowing I will no longer see your smile or hear your voice calling me “Sheena”. I was 12 when you were born, even though we were sisters, you were my baby. I remember taking you everywhere with me, my friends and their parents knew you. You, as an adult with children, I still felt the need to protect you and make sure you were good. I thank GOD for the forty years we had to share. I love you for eternity, you will always be my baby. Goodnight until we meet again. Love Always,

Until meet again, goodbye my dearest Sister/Cousin, I love you forever. Twana

Thank you for always being the friend I needed. God put you in my life for a reason. The laughs, love, disagreements and friend ship we shared is priceless. Stephanie you were the rock to so many people. You always knew what to say and always showed true love to me. I will never forget the moments we shared. True friendship comes in different fashions. The bond we shared will never be replaced and I will hold them dearly to heart for eternity. God called you home because he wanted you more than I needed you. So fly high my sweet friend and rest easy. I love you and will never forget you.

You are the most courageous and strongest person I know. Even in your last hours, you found it within yourself to comfort us. Ask ing us not to cry or be sad and expressing your love for us. I am grateful for all the memories we have together. My favorite memory is of me doing your hair for school pictures. You wanted curly braids. We were up half the night. You went to school smiling, but when you returned home you were sad. I asked what was wrong, you handed me an envelope that your teacher made out of school paper. The envelope read 'My Hair'.. all your braids had fallen out and the teacher put the loose pieces in that envelope. You were so devastated. I am going to miss the family trips and gatherings with you, our almost everyday 3 - 4 hour video chats and phone calls but most of all, I am going to miss you. I pray your flight to heaven was peaceful and granny, granddaddy, Jerry, Stephanie, Lonza and Florine were standing at the gate waiting for you. Hey Joyce, I'm going to miss you sooo much! From me talking your ear off about all my dinosaurs. To you taking me on all of our adventures. I love you Best friend.

I am better for knowing you, better for loving you, better for having met you. May you be as blessed in the next life, my friend, as I was in this one by knowing you. Thank you for always being there for me when I needed you. I love you Stefanie Joyce!

"Besties" Stefanie, thank you for being an unconditional friend and showing me what true sisterhood is. Our friendship was unlike any other, and I am forever grateful for that. I will cherish our memories forever; the secrets we shared, the laughs, the tears, and the happiness. I can't imagine my life without you and I will miss you dearly. I know you will always be with me because a piece of my heart will always be reserved for you. I will love you for eternity, my new guardian angel and forever best friend. #

One friend can change your whole life. Stefanie, you were that friend! From our first encounter in high school, I was certain that the universe aligned itself at just the perfect time. Our endless conversations and never - ending laughs (because one thing we would do is laugh) are the memories that I will cherish and lock in my heart. Your steadfast commitment and dedication to our sister - love has never wavered over the years and valleys we have crossed. The dreams that we have set into the atmosphere will not be in vain because you have modeled what endurance truly is. I am forever grateful that you left us to care and look after the very best of you. So, while you take your rest, we promise to do our earthly best. We hold you close within our hearts and there you will remain, to walk and guide us through our lives, until we meet again.

My whole heart loves you forever.

Because of you - I know what TRUE friendship is. Stefanie was my best friend , Godmother to Da’Naiya , partner in crime , and one of the best people I’ve ever known . Rest easy my sweet friend . No one that ever knew you can forget you , I know I never will. We love you ~Erica & Da’Naiya

Perhaps you sent a lovely card or sat quietly in a chair. Perhaps you sent a floral piece, if so, we saw it there. Perhaps you prayed a sincere prayer or came to pay a call. Perhaps you sang a cheerful song, if so, we heard it all. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, as any friend could say. Perhaps you prepared a tasty dish, or maybe furnished a car. Perhaps you rendered a service unseen, near at hand or from afar. Whatever you did to console our hearts, by word or deed or touch. Whatever was the kindly part, we thank you, oh so very much.
