Life Reflections Wayne Morris Dixon, Sr., 79, was born to Paul Dixon and Elzie Grace Duty Dixon on December 4, 1942 in Greenville, TX. He passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at home. On November 21, 1968, Wayne and Betty blessed with 54 years of marriage in Dallas, TX. They were blessed with two sons, Brian Keith and Wayne Jr. and one daughter, Shani. Wayne was an avid golfer and pool player . He won many awards and trophies. Wayne was loved by all who knew him. He always greeted you with a smile. At an early age, Wayne confessed Christ at New Hope Baptist Church in Greenville, TX under the leadership of Rev. B. T. Lewis. Later, he united with New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Johnny A. McGee where he was an active and faithful member and dedicated deacon. Wayne attended Sunday School, Brotherhood Bible Study and was a member of the Helping Hands Ministry. He was always willing to help. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Dixon; mother, Elzie Grace Duty Dixon; brothers, Jimmy Randolph, Samuel Boyce Dixon Sr., Weldon Clark Dixon, Wynn Mitchell Dixon Sr.; uncle, Frank K. Duty; and aunt, Winnie Pearson. Wayne is survived by his wife, Betty; sons, Brian Keith and Wayne Jr.; daughter, Shan; grandchildren, Brandon and Mia; brother, Ben Dixon (Vivian); sisters, Fredia Dixon and Ouida Thomas (Earl); and a host of family and friends. Wayne has worked in many professions. He retired from DART and Dallas Independent School District.
