Brent Frazier Butler graced this world with his presence on February 12, 1946, a cherished gift from God to Pastor Lemuel and Ardean Butler. Although he was born in Grand Prairie, Texas, his journey led him to Oklahoma City. He graduated from Central High School in Oklahoma City and then pursued his passion as a chef. Eventually, Brent returned to Texas, where he spent the majority of his adult life blessing many through his culinary skills and his work in ministry. Saved and Baptized in the Holy Ghost as a teenager, Brent was called into the ministry and began teaching soon after conver sion. His ministry touched lives from Oklahoma to Texas, as he passionately shared the prophetic word of the Lord, bringing countless souls into the kingdom. He served as pastor of Center Union Baptist Church in Colbert, Oklahoma, continuing his long pattern of loving leadership of God ’ s people. Brent was a dedicated husband to his wife, Tonie Butler. To this beautiful union was born three sons. They enjoyed 48 years as a couple raising a family, traveling, ministering, and cheering for their favorite teams.
He is preceded in death by four siblings: Sharon Sampson, Ka ren Columbus, Elizabeth Huff, and Lemuel Butler, Jr.
He is survived by his wife (Tonie Butler); three children, Brent Butler, Jr. (Paula), Roderick Butler, and Jeremy Butler (Ruth); three grandchildren, Vanessa, Hannah and Noah; seven sib lings, Claude Butler, Emily Mathis, Sandra Butler, Juanita Holly, Lemesa Phea, Twana Atkins and Gwendolyn Butler. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, in - laws, and friends whom he loved very much.
