Celia Mae Birmingham was born to Thelma Warren Birmingham and Jewel Birmingham on April 1, 1946 in Atlanta, TX. She attended public school in the Atlanta ,TX area then later relocated to the Dallas area. Celia was blessed to become a mother to Curtis Eugene “ Sonny ” Birmingham on May 10, 1962. Besides being a mother , Ms. Birmingham was blessed to be born into a singing family and she chose to sing with numerous groups, travelling near and far showcasing her gift. Ms. Birmingham was employed by Dallas ISD where she worked diligently for many years, making friends to last a lifetime. She is preceded in death by her parents, only son and a brother as well as other loving family members. Left to cherish her memories, are one sister, Terri Kelley of Texarkana, TX; one brother, Rickie (Christene) Banks of Atlanta, TX; one uncle, John (Ida) Birmingham of Atlanta, TX; two aunts, Helen Buchanan and Oneida Springfield of Houston, Texas; several nieces, nephews, numerous cousins, friends; special friend, coworker Antwon Neal; and her Charles Rice Learning Center Family.
