Cherlyn Newton Program

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, no pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?” C HERLYN L AVERNE W ALDER N EWTON was born on February 22, 1957, to the parents of Aleene W. Robinson and (stepfather) William Robinson in Dallas, TX. She received her formal education in the Dallas Independent School District. She was a lively stone who loved being around family, jamming to some good ole’ Blues while dancing and enjoying life. Her humor would give you a good laugh and memories that will remain crystal clear with her loved ones forever. Cherlyn was a domestic worker who loved to help with childcare, cleaning, and cooking. She liked the work, until the past couple of years, when she began to feel exhausted. Her labor involved in helping family & friends manage a household was not in vain. She will be sadly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts. Cherlyn was a believer of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and on Friday, February 24, 2023, God decided her work on earth was done and she was called to rest in peace. She is preceded in passing by her mother, Aleene Walder Robinson; stepfather, William Robinson; husband, Richard Newton; and sister, Karen Walder Isaac (Gary). She leaves to cherish her memories: daughter, Shona Walder; grandsons, Randall Ellison II (Brittney), and Randy Ellison; granddaughters, Shantavia Williams, Irene Ellison, Sharell Walder, and Maddisyn Moore; a host of great grandchildren; brother, Darvis Robinson (Kima); sister, Alicestean Walder Thomas (Ronald); nieces, Eboni Bridges (Manuel), Nikia Walder, Destiny Walder, Tiesha Robinson, Jasmine Robinson; nephews, Brandon Walder (Margo), Jamal Walder, Garrett Walder, Gerrard Walder, and Nagee Walder; and a host of great nieces & nephews, cousins, and friends.

P SALM 23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
