C HOYCE G REGORY “G REG ” E VANS was born on November 6, 1953, in Rocky Mount, NC to the late Ben Thomas & Jestene Hill Evans. He was the youngest of 5 children. Greg left Rocky Mount at the age of 13 after his mother’s death and moved to San Diego, CA to live with his older brother Dupree and his wife Joann. They lovingly raised and cared for him and saw to his education until he graduated from Morse High School. He was introduced to music at an early age as a drummer and while attending Morse High School received several awards for music. While attending college he became interested in the Bass Guitar. He was self taught and after months of practicing and rehearsing he eventually mastered it. He then went on to learn to play the key-bass piano, drums, and percussions. In addition, he was a Composer, Lyricist, Band Director, Bassist, and Background Vocalist. He then joined a band called OTR (On the Rise), which was based out of San Diego, CA. His 1stperformance was at a nightclub called The Oasis. That was only the beginning for Greg. He would later go on to lead several bands with the final band being named “Seduxtion”. That band toured for several years to multiple countries such as Japan, Hong Kong, and Indonesia just to name a few. To say the least Greg LOVED music and music LOVED him. To most on the music scene he will always be lovingly and musically known as “G-MAN”.
