It was the third Wednesday of the month of April on the 17th day of the year of 2024 at 6:15AM that Datwon Giddings-Walker became absent from his body to be present with the Lord. Datwon’s journey began on March 24, 1998, in Dallas, Texas, where he was born to his parents, Nicolas Walker and Tamisha Giddings. Growing up he attended various schools in the DISD system, including Alberta Sidney Johnson Elementary, T.W. Brown Middle School, and Kimball High School.

Datwon’s presence in this world may have been brief, but the impact he made on those around him will continue to live on in their hearts and memories forever. It is clear that he was a cherished member of his family, a devoted member of his community, and a loving individual who will be greatly missed. encountered. His faith was an integral part of his life, as he was an active member of the Greater New Vision Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas under the leadership of Reverend Travis L. Walker. Datwon’s decision to accept Christ and his subsequent baptism in 2016 were significant milestones in his spiritual journey. Family was at the core of Datwon’s being, and he cherished the role of being a proud uncle to his niece, Journi Adams, and nephew, Yosiah Adams. His love for them was evident, and he brought joy into their lives. Simple pleasures brought immense joy to Datwon. His favorite color, purple, reflected his vibrant personality, and his love for pizza was a testament to his laid-back and easygoing nature. He found solace in playing basketball, indulging in video games, and spending quality time with his family and friends. Datwon’s memory will be lovingly preserved by his mother, Tamisha Giddings; father, Nicolas Walker, and stepmother, Learesa Clemons; sisters, Niciya Giddings and Azaria Giddings; stepsisters, Daisha McKnight, Faith McKnight, and Brayla McKnight; grandmothers, Brenda Walker-Janis and Pamela Garrett; grandfathers, Gerald Giddings and Nathen Molett; aunt, Fredicia Janis-Peters; uncle, Darrick Brooken (Lashan Brookens); great-aunts, Linda Walker and Carol Edwards; along with a host of other family and loved ones. He is pr e ceded in death by his Great Grandmother Minnie Aikins , Great Grandmother Maybell Walker, and Great Grandfather George Edward Walker Sr. As Datwon Giddings-Walker departed from this world, may his soul find rest and peace in the arms of the Lord. May his memory continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who were touched by his presence, and may his legacy of love and kindness endure as a testament to the impact he made during his time on earth.
