The Life Reflections of

Delois was born in Marshall, Texas on April 4, 1945, to the parentage of Nephtha and Mary Delois Brown. Delois accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the Greenhill #1 church in Marshall, Texas. Delois received her education through Marshall school system attending Dunbar elementary school and H. B. Pemberton High School where she graduated in 1963. Delois then attended Xavier University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Delois moved to Dallas, Texas where she worked on various jobs and met the love of her life Melvin Ralph Mims. They united in marriage and God blessed this union with four children. Delois joined the Greater Calvary Baptist Church in the early seventies and has been a faithful member ever since. Delois leaves to cherish her memory one son, Delvin E. Mims of Dallas, Texas; three daughters, Denell L. Sampson (Leo), Dana E. Williams (James) both of Lancaster and D’Ann K. Lewis (Fred) of Ft. Worth; two brothers, Rev. Melvin Brown (Owieda) of Desoto, Texas, and Dennis R. Brown (Pat) of Mckinney Texas; one special sister from God, Carol Hill; one sister - in - law, Annie McCalister of Lancaster, Texas; two brother - in - laws, Governor Broughton of Lancaster, Texas and David Broughton (Peggy) of Irving, Texas; three grandchildren James Everett Ralph Williams, Jacob Lee Sampson, and Jaime Delois Williams. Delois loved those grandchildren so much and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
