Dwight Allen Williams, Sr. was born on December 18, 1963, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the union of the late John Allen Owens and Luethel Bates Williams. Being raised in a Christian home, Dwight accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at Home Mission Baptist Church by Rev. Horace Dyer, Sr. He was educated in the Orleans Parish Public School System. Everyone he crossed paths with were fond of his kind and loving spirit from his youth to adult age. Such attributes lead to his employment in the Hotel and Hospitality industry, from New Orleans, LA, to Sacramento, CA, and ending in Dallas, TX. His duties included cooking, serving guest, occasionally sneaking food to his co - workers and doing his best hosting personal slogans: “ Say It ”, “ Say It Aint so ”, “504”. Dwight enjoyed life working in the hotel industry, where he went over and beyond to assist the hotel guest and his co - workers was a pleasure. On January 20, 2023, Dwight Allen Williams, Sr. departed this plane existence to begin his new life journey with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He earned fifty - nine amazing years in this life and brought joy to everyone whom he met. Dwight was born on December 18, 1963 to John Allen Owens and Luethel Bates Williams. Dwight was preceded by his parents; John Allen Owens and Leuthel Bates Williams, grandparents; Andrew Nash, Sr., Shelly Bates and Sedonia Nash, his son, Dwight Allen Williams, Jr., his siblings; Dalton Kevin, Arsean and Karen Williams and Debra Matthews, nephews; Arthur Williams, Paul Brackins III, Arsean Williams, Jr., and Pierre Batiste, Jr., Niece, Trena Williams. He leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted companion, Taiesha Polk, children; Audriunna Nicole and Kaden Keon Williams, Ryan Gill, Ruben and Alex Bowman, granddaughter, De ’ Asia Leabue, brothers; Alton (Gail), Michael (Cynthia), Anthony Williams and Reginald Hausey, sister; Evelyn Martin, Vanessa Green and Pamela Williams, aunts; Theresa Leblanc, Catherine Jones and Georgiana (Mark), Sandifer, godson. Michael Willis, Jr., and a host of other family members and friends, Crowne Plaza Downtown Dallas Hotel. Dwight lived a selfless and glorious life. He never denied a helping hand to a family member, a friend, nor a stranger. So even death in God ’ s hand is not a cause for grieving, but a time for joy in knowing death is just a stepping stone to life everlasting. Dwight will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
