We celebrate the life of Edward Rochester Dorhan (Big Ed). Born November 3, 1957, in Chicago Illinois to Edward Rochester Dorhan and the late Norma Dorhan. Edward excelled in sports and academics. He was an excellent football player and caught the attention of many in Chicago. Edward ’ s biggest passion was academics. This led to him accelerating ahead of his peers. He was awarded scholarships to schools in Chicago. After moving to North Little Rock, Arkansas, Edward graduated from Ole Main High School in North Little Rock, Arkansas in 1973, at the age of 15. He enrolled at the University of Arkansas Little Rock the next semester. While at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Edward pledged “ Thee Pi Kappa Chapter ” of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated. This was the charter line on the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He was known as The Tail Dogg. Edward started working at UPS after college. He enjoyed the interactions and experiences he had with his customers. He left UPS to start his own delivery business, ECJC. Edward loved owning his business. ECJC delivered across the country. Edward leaves to cherish his memory, his father Edward R Dorhan, Sr. two children; son Jakori Dorhan, daughter Charedra Dorhan; three brothers; Michael Dennis (Sheila), Vernon Dorhan and Marlon Dorhan, two grandchildren; De ’ Viahn Smith and Brayden Bradley, and a host of nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, other relatives, fraternity brothers, and friends.

Edward was preceded in death by his mother Norma Dorhan and brother Norman Dorhan.
