Mrs. Ima Jean Humphrey was born on February 19, 1944 in Marlin, Texas (Falls County) to the parentage of the late Daniel Lee Humphrey and Opal Eugene Humphrey.

She attended and was a graduate of the Marlin Independent School District.

Mrs. Ima Jean also attended computer classes at the Urban League Center in Dallas, Texas.

Mrs. Ima Jean met and married Mr. Roy L. Ross.

She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a dedicated member of College Park Baptist Church where she enjoyed worshiping and faithfully attending. She also served as the Usher Board President for a number of years. She so loved her church family. Mrs. Ima Jean was a General Clerk at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas. She devoted 31 years of service before she retired. Mrs. Ima Jean is preceded in death by her loving husband Roy Lee Ross; brother Billy Jerry Humphrey; sister’s Annie B. Johnson and Joyce Marie Bell Humphrey; brother’s Alvin Humphrey and Ollie Williams. She leaves to cherish her love and forever memories with: Dimitri Thomas (Kametha), son; Nikesha Ross (Lakendrick), daughter; stepchildren, whom she loved dearly, Daryle Griffin, Vickie Armstrong, Berndett Walker; 16 grandchildren, she had a special bond with Dominque Thomas, Kiaron Denson, Leah Britton, Justin Thomas, Ashly Thomas, Odell Griffin and Sorya Walker; 20 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends.
