James Bennett was born November 16, 1942, to Varice Smith-Bennett. He attended James Madison High school in Dallas, Texas. James worked for Honey Roofing Co. for many years. James was married to Patsy Marie Lincoln Bennett, who preceded him in death. He was the father of one daughter, Vicke Elizabeth Bennett. He later married Linda Haywood-Bennett, who preceded him in death, also his best friend, Reginald V. Taylor who proceeded him in death. He leaves to cherish his daughter, Vicke (Lawrence); grandson Patrick (Troyell); 5 great grandchildren, Devin, Patrick Jr., Olivia, Rashad, and McKenzie; and a host of relatives and friends.
