Mr. Jerry H. Walker, Jr. was born to the parentage of the late Eliza J. Walker & the late Jerry Walker, Sr. on January 24, 1950 in Texarkana. He graduated from Booker T. Washington Senior High School in Texarkana, Arkansas - class of 1968. Jerry was well - known for being a gentleman and a scholar. Shortly after graduating from High School, Jerry relocated to the Dallas - Fort Worth Metropolitan area where he worked for Texas Instruments and Taylor Publishing Company. He later attended Dallas College - El Centro in Dallas, TX. Jerry was an honest, trustworthy self - employed businessman who was on the cutting edge of technology in the late 80’ s & early 90’ s and a computer whiz and tech guru until he passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. He was one of the baddest Computer Programmers and Information Technology Guys in Northeast Texas. Jerry ’ s hobbies and favorite pastimes included: sailing on Lake Ray Hubbard in one of his boats; he was an avid fisherman; he enjoyed watching football (especially the Dallas Cowboys); driving & collecting his and his late wife ’ s most revered and preferred brand of vehicles - the Cadillac, which would proudly display the words “4 U Faye ” on the license plates; he enjoyed hanging with family & friends - especially his siblings John Henry, Arcenia & Phillip; and spending time with his grandson, Jason Jr. Until her demise nearly seven years ago, Faye was the love of Jerry ’ s life. They were married for 32 years and survived many storms together, in particular the tornado of 2015 destroyed their home; however, it strengthened their bond and brought them even closer as a couple. Family was very important to Jerry - especially his step - sons, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nephews, nieces, & other extended family members. In fact, he adored all of his nieces and always greeted them with nice, warm hugs; called them Sweetie; and told them how much he missed spending holidays with the family when he could not make it to Texarkana. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Faye Walker; mother, Eliza Walker; his father Jerry Walker, Sr.; his brother Don T. Watson; his sister Betty J. DeFrance; grandmother Annie J. Watson; and nephew Anthony Lewis. Jerry will be reunited and laid to eternal rest next to his beautiful wife, Faye. He leaves to cherish his memories two step - sons DeMarcus Jackson & Jason Jackson, Sr. of Dallas, TX; two brothers and one sister - in - law, John Henry Walker of Texarkana, Texas and Phillip Watson (Latres) of Texarkana, Arkansas; two sisters and one brother - in - law, Arcenia Betiku and Nancy Fulsom (DeWayne) all of Texarkana, Arkansas; 3 grandchildren (one Special grandson - Jason Jackson, Jr.); two great grandchildren; one Special niece Yolanda Grant; his In - laws: Dorothy Lee, Richard Tennison (Gail), Gary Chalk, Sr. (Phyllis), Gregory Chalk (Angela), Mollie Ayers, Doretha Peck (Cornelius), Lillian Martin (Michael), Jeannette Bennett, and Sharon Battee (Charles); and a host of nephews; nieces; other relatives; & friends.
