In loving memory of John Arthur Caldwell, a man whose life was a testament to hard work, kindness and a vibrant sense of humor. Born on November 7, 1941to the parentage of Lucious and Fannie Caldwell. He was preceded in death by both parents; his brothers, Lucious Caldwell Jr. Napoleon Caldwell, Hugh Caldwell, Ben Caldwell; his sisters, Atra B. Greene and Willie B. Edwards. John’s journey on this came to a peaceful close on May 5, 2024. In 1969, he met his first wife Ethel to this union a daughter was born Robbie Caldwell. John dedicated his career to the field of construction for 60 years where his skilled hands and sharp mind contributed to building numerous structures that will stand as monuments to his craftmanship for years to come. His Legacy in the construction industry is one of dedication and excellence. Beyond his professional achievements, John was known for his warm personality that instantly drew others to him. With a sense of humor that could brighten the darkest of days, he had a way of making everyone feel welcomed and valued. He lived by principles of honor and kindness that left a lasting impact on all who had a privilege of knowing him. In his leisure time, John found joy in simple pleasures like working in his yard barbecuing, playing dominoes, and playing with Hercules his dog and casting his line into the waters while fishing. These hobbies reflected his down-to-earth nature and appreciation for the beauty of the world around him. John’s proudest accomplishments were centered around his family and his marriage to Dottie Caldwell. He cherished moments spent with loved ones above all else and leaves behind a legacy of love and unity that will continue to inspire generations to come. John Arthur Caldwell is survived by his beloved family members who will carry forward his memory with love and reverence. This includes his wife, Dottie Caldwell; son, John Caldwell Jr.; stepson, Jerome Thomas; daughter Robbie Caldwell (Max) grandchildren, Austin Caldwell (Naxin) and Dasia Caldwell Page (Freddie); great grandson, Asher Rey Caldwell; sisters-in-law, Armie Caldwell, Margarite Rosas, Mary Ann Thomas; brothers-in-law, Mark Rosas, Wille Thomas, Robert Thomas; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. As we gather to bid farewell let us remember John not with but with gratitude for the light he brought into our lives. May John’s soul rest in eternal peace as we hold on to the memories of a remarkable man who touched our hearts deeply.
