Perhaps you sang a cheerful song, if so, we heard it all. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, as any friend could say. Perhaps you prepared a tasty dish, or maybe furnished a car. Perhaps you rendered a service unseen, near at hand or from afar. Whatever you did to console our hearts, by word or deed or touch.

J OSEPHINE K ING B URLESON was born to Joseph and Helen King on January 31, 1950, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She departed this earthly life on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 in Dallas, Texas. She accepted Christ at an early age at Revival Tabernacle Church under the leadership of Rev. Faye A. Spencer. She was known as the “Tambourine Queen”.

Josephine leaves to cherish her memories: children, Carol Williams, James Williams, and Lola Brown (Adrian Sr.); grandchildren Christal Hay (Rodney), D’stiny Bell, Adrelan Brown, Adrian Brown III, Laila Brown, James Williams III, Jerimah Williams; great grandchildren Masiya Williams, Riley Hay, Isaiah Bell, LaiYanna Bisor; sisters, Bobbie King, Helen Ann Ealoms (Rev. Pastor John W); brothers, Leo King, Tommy King; a host of other relatives and friends.
