Leonard Coleman Sr
One thing I learned from Captn was that — through the many questions he's always asked us, whether it be a serious question or not; there was never any right or wrong answers to the questions (from my perspective). But they served as more of a beacon guiding us (grandchildren) forward in life, each in our own way through reflection, helping us along as we got older. He was a very wise man. Michael Captain, I think of 1 Corinthians 16:13, where it says “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.” You were the epitome of what a man is and supposed to be. You stood strong in faith and showed me in wisdom and example how to walk in boldness. My earliest memories are of you letting me know that “I CAN DO ALL THINGS EXCEPT FAIL” and I appreciate the confidence you instilled into me. Captain, I love you, and because of you “I’m a Coleman and I’ll never forget it.” Chris His Words and Stories Will Live On Big Daddy was one of the funniest, toughest, most loving men you could ever meet. A true character. He had a sharp sense of humor, a fierce love for his family, and a way of turning ordinary moments into unforgettable stories. My own dad is always telling us stories — funny ones, wild ones, the kind that stick with you — and now I see exactly where he gets it from. Big Daddy was always ready with a joke, and this is the last one I remember him telling me: "I was in the Jack in the Box drive - through one morning, taking my time with my order. The lady behind me got impatient — honking, yelling, and cussing me out. So I paid for her meal. When she found out, she looked shocked and a little embarrassed, and she smiled at me like she was sorry. Then when I got to the next window, I showed both receipts… and took her food too! I figured, hey — I paid for it, it’s mine now!" That was Big Daddy — funny, quick with it, and full of so much wisdom. He taught us to love God, love our family, and love ourselves. His stories and his words live on through us, especially the ones we’ll keep telling — just like he did. Tiffani
